Magalhaes Partners accepts a limited number of engagements each year, taken in the principal’s personal capacity. Each begins with a written enquiry and is held in confidence throughout.

Process


How an engagement begins.

    Introduction

    Engagements begin with a written introduction outlining the situation, the desired outcome, and the proposed timeframe. The firm responds to all serious enquiries within two working days.

    Conversation

    When the work fits, a private conversation is arranged, by video, telephone, or in person, to confirm scope, terms, and chemistry. When it does not, the firm replies promptly and, where possible, suggests an alternative.

  3. 03

    Letter of engagement

    A short written letter sets out scope, deliverables, timeframe, and fee. The firm prefers fixed-scope engagements with clear deliverables over open-ended retainers.

  4. 04

    Work

    The principal carries the engagement personally. Mandates are limited in number each year so that each receives senior-level attention. Confidentiality is absolute.

  5. 05

    Conclusion

    Every engagement closes with a written summary, a formal handover, and a clear statement of what was done. The firm does not pursue continuation work; if further mandates follow, they are introduced separately.
